The slim Silver or Bronze rail mounts tight to the wall side of the staircase, preserving clearance on the narrow flights and basement entries common in older homes across Buffalo, Rochester, Pittsburgh, and Erie. Armrests, seat, and footrest all fold away at the push of a button, so no one has to bend down at the top of a staircase to store the chair. Two landing remotes come standard, allowing the lift to be called from either floor, which matters in multi-rider households and caregiving situations.
Continuous battery recharging keeps the Siena 600 operating through the winter outages that come with life in Upstate NY and Western PA. For stairs that end near a doorway or hallway, Stannah offers an optional retractable rail that folds out of the walking path when the chair is parked.
